Lake Fun

We are having so much fun living near so many lakes. We bought an older boat a couple of weeks ago and take it out at least once a week. The kids love riding on the tube.

The lakes here have some great beaches, so we have been testing them out to find our favorites. I try to take the kids to the beach at least once a week, they are such little fish and love to be in the water every opportunity they get.

Ok, ok, ok, I'll stop being such a slacker! Let's start with Abby's eventful summer -

For starters, Abby turned 8 in June.

We celebrated Abby's birthday with a few of her friends at Hands on Art. We had a blast painting pottery.

Abby marched in the Coeur d'Alene 4th of July parade with her Brownie troop.

Most exciting so far this summer: Abby's Baptism.

We were very fortunate to have a lot of family travel over the expensive 4th of July weekend to be with Abby on her special day. Thank you Mom and Dad, Grams, Meg and Joe, and Grandpa and Grandma. You all made the day even more special for Abby.

Abby was so excited that her Aunt Megan and Uncle Joe were able to come at the last minute.

Despite some reservations, we let Abby go to Camp Four Echoes, the local Girl Scout camp, for 4 days and 3 nights. She had so much fun and wanted to stay another 4 days. We missed her so much while she was gone.
